Sabah International Dairies Sdn. Bhd (SID) is a Sabah-based, Malaysian company principally involved in the manufacturing, packaging and marketing of U.H.T. milk products, pasteurised fresh milk, soya milk, fruit juices and Asian drinks.
The Company’s processing plant was originally located in Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan, Malaysia from the year 1979 to year 1987 under the name of SEHAT SDN. BHD. The factory was established with two main objectives: to supply and deliver U.H.T. packet milk for the Sabah School Milk Programme and to participate in the development of the dairy industry in Sabah, by processing, packing and marketing all fresh milk produced in the State.
The factory receives its fresh milk supply from all the dairy farms in Sabah through the Veterinary Department and in order to be nearer to the dairy farms and also to save transportation cost, the Company in 1987, relocated its factory from Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan to Kota Kinabalu. The factory began operations in Kota Kinabalu in 1988 under the name of Sama Industrial Products Sdn. Bhd. The Company was 100% owned by the Sabah State Government until it was privatised in 1998 when its name was changed to Sabah International Dairies Sdn. Bhd (SID)
