Enge Plas was first incorporated in Singapore in August 1984, as a joint venture between a Swiss Company and a fledgling Mr. Chua HK, who till date is still very much involved in the operation of the company.

Mr. Chua HK had the means to move into a small rented office-workshop and recruited a project engineer, an assistant for accounts and technicians were added to the growing team in 1987 following the year.

Enge Plas already had a total staff strength of 10 people from sales to project and design engineers, project coordinators and technicians and back-office functions in accounts and administrations. Thereafter, Enge Plas was incorporated in Singapore to serve the markets of Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines and another two companies were incorporated in Malaysia. One as a manufacturing facility and another as a sales office both in Seremban Malaysia.

Mr. Chua HK managed to bring Kutbi Daruwala to join the Enge Plas team for which Kutbi has been helming the Singapore operations since which also oversees the Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines markets.
