The story of Life Water began when a young Sabahan couple, Mr Liaw Hen Kong who hails from Tamparuli and Chin Lee Ling from Kota Belud decided to leave their promising career in accounting to pursue their dream of going into business.

Together with schoolmates, Mr Tan Hwong Kuen and Mr Lim Young Piau, they pooled their resources to start a small bottled water manufacturing business in Sandakan. All four of them became directors of the company, with Mr Liaw and Mdm Chin directly involved in its operations as Managing Director and Executive Director respectively.

It was a bold and risky venture, stepping into the unfamiliar territory of a business venture from nothing, and with the chosen location, Sandakan, then a less-developed town.

Today, 20 years later, that small bottled water manufacturing company, Life Water, has grown into a leading bottled water manufacturer in Sabah.

From the outset, Life Water has made its mission to provide affordable quality beverages to everyone and continues to strive towards this to this very day.
