Description

Tong Woh Enterprise (TWE) was established in 1968 as a humble Traditional Chinese Medicine store in Petaling Jaya. Over the years, it has undergone significant growth and expansion, evolving into a conglomerate that encompasses beverage importation and distribution, fine wines, personal wellness, and retail.

Located in the strategic town of Bandar Sunway, TWE’s headquarters is easily accessible from major highways such as the Federal Highway, LDP, NPE, and NKVE.

Our stores boast state-of-the-art warehouse facilities, equipped with ample storage space and climate-controlled environments, including refrigerated storage for premium spirits and fine wines. We maintain rigorous First-In-First-Out (FIFO) control protocols for items such as beer barrels and fast-moving consumer goods, including Coca-Cola products.

The TWE logistics team is highly skilled in transporting both heavy and delicate items, such as fine wines and champagne, in a prompt and professional manner. Moreover, our delivery fleet, which includes 7-tonne and 5-tonne trucks and multi-functional delivery vans, allows us to directly serve distribution points throughout the Klang Valley.

Tong Woh Retail & Wine
Once a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) store, TWR has evolved into a modern TCM and wine retailer.

Founder, Mr. Andy Loh, discovered a strong passion for wines and, since the early 2000s, has transformed TWR into a well-known wine retailer with a diverse collection of fine wines from around the world.

Today, TWR is known for its exceptional selection of fine wines and spirits at reasonable prices, along with outstanding customer service. We are one of the oldest TCM stores that has transformed into a highly regarded modern TCM and wine retailer.

Our Story
When Loh Lum Wah, the founder of Tong Woh, first arrived in Malaya, he joined his father as a lumberjack. He taught himself to read and write, recognizing that education was the key to a better life. He soon became an apprentice at Eu Yan Sang, a traditional Chinese medicine store, where he eventually rose to the position of salesperson and traveled throughout Peninsular Malaysia. It was during one of these sales trips to Mentakab, Pahang, that he met the woman who would play a crucial role in the establishment of Tong Woh: Mdm. Lien Bien Hwee, his future wife.

Despite his ambition to open his own shop, Loh Lum Wah was poor and struggling to provide for his six children. Just as he was about to give up on his dream, his wife Bien Hwee, who had been quietly working as a seamstress, offered him her life savings so that he could realize his aspirations.

And so, in 1968, Tong Woh Medicine Hall opened its doors, marking the beginning of a lasting legacy.
