Hang Tuah Coffee began its humble beginnings before the year 1955, by the late founder, Tuan Haji Zainal bin Haji Said. He sought to create a distinctive local coffee powder, inspired by Malaysians’ love for their Kopi-O. He named his brand after a famous Malay warrior, Hang Tuah, who was a crucial figure in our country’s independence. During the British rule of Malaya, the brand went by ‘Chap 3 Murid’ (3 Student Brand) to avoid provoking the British authorities. This delightful blend of inspiration and history evolved into the beloved Hang Tuah Coffee we enjoy today.
