Sutera Megah Sdn Bhd, formerly Perabotan Dan Pemborong Ting Boo Gee, was founded over 50 years ago by a husband and wife team and incorporated on December 19, 1994.

The company has been involved in furniture manufacturing and wholesaler business. In the 1970s, the business was also involved in the logging and housing development industries.

The company is wholly owned by bumiputras with its core business as furniture supplier to various Government Departments and Schools. The company started its business and operation sometime in March 1995 as a sub-contractor to Innoprise Wood Products Sdn Bhd to supply and manufacture outdoor furniture series to foreign market.

In 1997, the company ventured into outdoor furniture markets relying on its own resources and expertise. The management of the company set up distributorship offices and sales networks throughout the region to promote and boost its products. In view of its steady but innovative business management couple with its high quality products, creative and up to date designs, the company managed to achieve production volume ranging from 3000 to 4000 per product on monthly basis.

The companys key achievements include amongst others, supply and installation of built-in furniture and outdoor furniture for Pacific Sutera Hotel, The Magellan Sutera Hotel, Tanjung Aru Beach Hotel and Karambunai Resort. The companys products have achieved recognition from both of the local and international markets.

Currently, the company has more than 70 employees whereby more than 90% of its employees are local residents. The companys employees consist of the management team and professionals, technical and supervision team, clerical and skilled workers. None of the employees belongs to any union. The relationship between the management and the employees is excellent.

The company’s factory is situated at Mile 6, Jalan Putatan with a land area of 44,000 sq ft. consisting of a factory Building of 14,000 sq ft, office of 4,000 sq ft, two shop lots of 1,300 sq ft. The total building area is 21,300 sq ft.
